The Ukrainian military repulsed more than 30 enemy attacks in the Donetsk region and destroyed many important targets of the invaders. This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening briefing on Friday, May 5.
It was noticed that the enemy attacked again in the direction of Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky. The fiercest battle continues for Bakhmut and Marinka.
Today, the enemy launched two rockets and 26 air strikes and fired about 20 rounds from the MLRS. Civilians suffered, private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In turn, Defense Forces aviation delivered six strikes on areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated in one day. Also, two Shahed 136/131 enemy drones were shot down tonight.
During the day, missile and artillery units hit five areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, three compositions of ammunition and fuel and lubricants, an air defense system and five more important enemy targets.
Recall that Russia has lost more than 193 thousand soldiers since the beginning of the war against Ukraine. On May 4 alone, at least 620 Russians were “transported”.
