Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov blamed the United States for the attack on the Kremlin.
Such attempts to disown this both in Kyiv and in Washington, of course, are absolute laughter. We know very well that decisions about such actions and about such acts of terrorism (in Russia, what happened is called a terrorist attack) are made not in Kyiv, but in Washington. And Kyiv is already doing what it is ordered to do,” Peskov said at a briefing on May 4.
According to him, Putin does not plan to record a special address in connection with the “incident” and will not hold an emergency meeting of the Security Council.
The Kremlin speaker also said that “Moscow is considering a variety of options for responding to the alleged Ukrainian attack.”
Recall that last night two drones attacked the Kremlin in the center of Moscow. The Russian authorities immediately blamed Ukraine for this. Vladimir Zelensky said that Kyiv has nothing to do with what happened.
Advisor to the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak today called the following signs of Russia’s staging of a drone attack on the Kremlin:
The Kremlin, a drone, two organizers on the stairs of the Senate Palace, a 12-hour pause before publication, the simultaneous appearance of videos from different angles – a staging. Absolute.
The drones that attacked the Kremlin were noticed long before they flew to Moscow, but they were not responded to allegedly “through the May holidays.” This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel, citing a source.
It is reported that drones flying at an ultra-low altitude were noticed by local residents in the Moscow region. But the area’s rescuers “didn’t process the application properly.”
After the drones ended up inside the Moscow Ring Road, the security forces began to report this to the authorities – however, “after late hours and the May holidays, there was no proper immediate reaction.” The channel writes that thanks to this, the drones managed to fly to the Kremlin and attack it.
