Arrangements accompanied by noise are prohibited on weekdays from 21:00 to 08:00, and on holidays and days off – around the clock.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law banning fireworks and salutes. The law also prohibits music at night and repairs to homes on weekends.
According to the document, the use and sale of fireworks, especially salutes and firecrackers (with the exception of fireworks of class F1, which have a very low level of danger and a negligible noise level of no more than 60 dB) is prohibited. These standards will come into force after the publication of the law.
In addition, in six months, noise reduction standards will come into effect in Ukraine.
Thus, executive authorities, local governments, businesses, institutions, organizations and citizens are required to take measures to prevent excessive levels of noise in the areas of residential buildings and in the local place; in the area of healthcare institutions, sanatoriums and resort institutions, boarding schools, educational institutions, culture; in the area of hotels and hostels; in the area of public catering, trade, consumer services, entertainment and gambling businesses located within the communities; in the area of other buildings and structures where people are permanently or temporarily located; on the territories of parks, squares, recreation areas located on the territory of microdistricts and groups of residential buildings.
It is noted that noise in protected facilities during the implementation of any type of activity should not exceed the levels established by state health standards for the corresponding time of day.
Also, in protected facilities from 22:00 to 08:00, loud singing and shouting, the use of sound-reproducing equipment and other sources of household noise, and the use of pyrotechnic products are prohibited. Arrangements accompanied by noise are prohibited on weekdays from 21:00 to 08:00, and on holidays and days off – around the clock.
