The Ukrainians are now doing what NATO has been preparing to do for decades, the minister said.
Ukraine is the only country in the world that successfully fulfills the tasks of NATO – to resist Russian aggression. This was stated by Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, published on Tuesday, May 2.
The North Atlantic Alliance was created by the Americans in response to the threat of the Russian Empire, but then it was called the Soviet Union. The main task of NATO is to fight the Russian Empire, fight successfully and, in case of invasion, fight back. Currently, the only country in the world that successfully fulfills the tasks of NATO is Ukraine. It is difficult, at the cost of our blood, our lives, our homes, today we fulfill the mission of NATO,” said Reznikov.
He emphasized that the Ukrainians are now doing what NATO has been preparing to do for decades.
“And the Alliance understands this, and therefore gives us NATO weapons to see how successfully they can fight the main threat,” added the minister.
Recall that Russia lost more than 191 thousand soldiers in the war of occupation against Ukraine. In the last 24 hours alone, another 460 “good Russians” have been added.
