The ruling regime of Belarus reiterated that the situation on the state border is allegedly “aggravating”.
The self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called a meeting on the security and protection of the state border, as a “significant worsening of the situation” should be predicted at the border. This was reported by the Belarusian propaganda news agency BelTA.
The formal leader of the country reiterated that the situation around Belarus allegedly “remains difficult”, and near the borders “NATO’s military potential is being built and provocations are taking place.”
“We cannot postpone this meeting: the situation forces us to respond to the situation that is developing. That is why the government, the security bloc is tasked to prepare serious measures at the border to prevent various types of saboteur to enter the territory of Belarus. Recently, such cases have become more frequent. Therefore, I would like to hear complete proposals for countermeasures,” he assured.
According to Belarusian intelligence, “a significant worsening of the operational situation around Belarus is predicted.” This statement was made by the chairman of the State Security Committee, Ivan Tertel.

It will be remembered that on April 18 it became known that Lukashenko first met the Donetsk collaborator and leader of the so-called “DPR” Denis Pushilin.
Against the backdrop of this event, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the same day announced that it is recalling its ambassador to Belarus, Igor Kizim, to Kyiv for consultations.
