Fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev died in Moscow

The Russian fashion designer died at the age of 85. In the last years of his life, he lived with Parkinson’s disease.

Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev on Sunday, April 30, died in Moscow. This was reported by the local Telegram channel MASH.

“According to our information, in the afternoon he was taken to Shchelkovo hospital with stomach bleeding. His dacha is located in the same place,” said the public.

After the CT scan, the fashion designer was sent to intensive care. However, later, at 18:00, Zaitsev died in the hospital.


Vyacheslav Zaitsev was born on March 2, 1938 in Russian Ivanovo.
In 1962, after graduating from the Moscow Textile Institute with honors, he was assigned to the experimental and technical clothing factory of Mosoblsovnarkhoz in the Babushkinsky district and appointed its artistic director.
In 1988, Zaitsev made costumes for the soloists of one of the Broadway theaters. As a costume designer, he participated in the production of films at Mosfilm and Maxim Gorky studios: Magician, Hold on to the Clouds, Hello Circus, Nameless Star.
For a long time, Zaitsev worked on creating costumes for pop stars and figure skating champions.
In 2016, Vyacheslav Zaitsev developed Parkinson’s disease and began to have problems with his joints.
