On the morning of April 28, Russian invaders hit a nine-story residential building in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region, with a rocket.

The search and rescue operation has been completed. This was announced today, April 29, on his Facebook page by Interior Minister Igor Klymenko.
It is noted that as a result of the Russian missile strike, 23 people were killed:
- 22 got out of the rubble;
- another person died in the hospital.
- The bodies of all the dead have been identified.
There was a special headquarters where the direct relatives of the dead could give biological samples for DNA comparison. Another 2 women are considered missing, – said Klymenko.
Among the dead are six children:
- three boys (aged one and a half, 16 and 17);
- three girls (aged 8, 11 and 14).
Rescuers worked to the limit to pull people out of the rubble. They brought in heavy equipment and special equipment. The police and volunteers helped. 17 people were saved, the minister noted.
Nine people were also injured and were taken to hospital.
