Doctors at a hospital in southeastern Poland removed a cyst weighing almost a hundred kilograms from one of her ovaries. This intervention surprised experts, after which the 24-year-old woman hopes to return to “normal life”. The center itself reports this.
The patient was admitted to the Rzeszów Clinical University Hospital on 19 April. He weighed 182 kg with a height of 1.58 meters and had such a large abdominal girth that he could not fit on the simulator. CTwhich complicated the performance of analyzes that ultimately confirmed the clinical picture.
“I have never seen such a large cyst,” explains the head of the gynecology department in a statement released by the hospital. The operation was performed on Tuesday, April 25, and began with the drainage of about one hundred liters of fluid from the cyst, which reached a diameter of one meter.
The patient, who had no other pathologies in the pelvis or abdomen, explained that she had not previously been admitted to the hospital due to “fear”, although she admitted that her general condition was “bad” and she could hardly walk. Now she plans to get out of the hospital, get rid of excess skin, return to work and start a family.
