Innovations on the Ukrainian-Polish border will be the beginning of Ukraine’s integration into the common customs space of the European Union.
During the visit of Polish leader Andrzej Duda to Ukraine on Sunday, May 22, a decision was reached that would renew the command on the Ukrainian-Polish border. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message.
“We are introducing common customs control with Poland. Is a truly historic process,” said the head of state.
At the same time, he stressed that relations between Kyiv and Warsaw are finally “on a completely clean, sincere basis, without any squabbles and the old conflict legacy.”
The President of Ukraine also recalled that he had signed a decree on granting the title “City-Savior” to Polish Rzeszow and on launching the preparation of a bill on the special status of Poles in Ukraine.
Finally, according to Zelensky, during the talks, the interlocutors discussed defense support for Ukraine, more stringent sanctions against Russia, and Ukraine’s path towards the European Union.
Remember, Andrzej Duda said earlier that there is really no border between Poland and Ukraine.
