NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that at the July summit in Vilnius, the Alliance member countries are preparing to discuss issues of Ukraine’s membership and security guarantees for our state. According to the head of the military-political bloc, all NATO members agree that the future of Ukraine is in the North Atlantic Alliance.

Stoltenberg stated this at a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on April 20.
President Zelensky raised issues of membership and security guarantees (for Ukraine – ed.). And that will be an important item on the agenda for this meeting and NATO is preparing for that. The future of Ukraine is in the Euro-Atlantic family. The future of Ukraine is in NATO. All members of the Alliance agree with this,” Stoltenberg is convinced.
According to him, the main attention of the NATO member countries “is now focused on ensuring that Ukraine wins” the war against Russia and “remains a sovereign, independent democratic state of Europe in the future.”
Stoltenberg also noted that NATO countries will discuss military support for Kyiv at tomorrow’s meeting in the Ramstein format and at the NATO summit in Vilnius.
Ukraine’s rightful place is in NATO. And over time, our support will help you make this possible, the Secretary General of the Alliance stressed.
