The Armed Forces of Ukraine will not announce the start of a counteroffensive, and counteroffensive actions are already underway.

On April 19, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.
These are the plans of the Armed Forces, which we do not have the right to discuss in the public space, including the military themselves do not discuss them. At the same time, there is no need to publicly reduce the counteroffensive only to some kind of active offensive actions,” she noted.
Malyar said that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out a complex of various measures to train people and equipment, as well as options for implementing a counteroffensive.
There will not be a day when the Armed Forces will say: Tomorrow we start the counteroffensive. This is impossible in a war because it is classified information. These are the plans of the Armed Forces, which we do not have the right to discuss in the public space, including the military themselves do not discuss them,” Malyar said.
She also noted that Bakhmut has become for the Russians one of the most expensive operations of the Russian army in Ukraine.
For them, firstly, this is perhaps one of the most expensive operations, because a large amount of equipment and weapons have already been spent on it, which, by the way, the armed forces have destroyed to a large extent.
They will suffer huge losses there. And these losses are several times higher than our losses. This is war and we have to be realistic. Unfortunately, this is the price of our independence,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense.
