The United States announced on Tuesday that it had uncovered a money laundering and sanctions evasion network that supported Lebanese businessman and art collector Nazem Ahmed, whom it believes USA as a Hezbollah financier.

“Luxury market participants should be especially vigilant about these potential tactics that facilitate terrorist financing, money laundering and sanctions evasion,” the statement said.
United Kingdom coordination
The Treasury indicated that this series of sanctions was authorized in coordination with the United Kingdom.
