Bakhmut remains the epicenter of hostilities. Enemy troops concentrate their greatest efforts and try to take control of the city at any cost. This was stated by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, Military Media Center reports on Telegram.
While the enemy is increasing the activity of heavy artillery and the number of air strikes, turning the city into a ruin, he stressed.
According to the general, the enemy is conducting offensive operations in several sectors of the front. In particular, attempts by the enemy to go on the attack in the Kupyansk direction were recorded, but the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine broke the plans of the enemy. The Russians fled without even reaching the line of transition to the attack. Also unsuccessful were the enemy’s attempts to storm the Liman direction.
Meanwhile, the State Border Service showed a video of street fighting in Bakhmut and noted that the occupiers were changing tactics – instead of the recruited prisoners of the Wagner PPK, the Russian command began to throw professional and experienced military men into battle.
Recall that the American Institute for the Study of War stated that the Wagner mercenaries were able to achieve some success in Bakhmut, because I would move north of the T0504 highway Konstantinovka-Vremeni Yar-Bakhmut along the main railway in the city. Assault detachments of the “Wagnerites” captured two quarters in the north-west and in the center of the city.
