Zelensky thanked Biden for the support of 40 billion

The President of the United States signed the Law on Additional Allocations for Ukraine for 2022.

On Saturday, May 21, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the head of the White House for signing the Law on Additional Allocations for Ukraine for 2022. It provides for the allocation of nearly $ 40 billion in emergency assistance to citizens. Ukrainian and global democracy.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader stressed that Biden immediately signed a package of support for Ukraine, which was adopted by Congress.

“I am grateful to President Biden for the immediate signing of a $ 40 billion support package for Ukraine approved by Congress. This is a historic contribution to the defense of freedom in Europe,” Zelensky said.

This assistance package is the largest approved by the U.S. Congress in 20 years. Ukraine’s total support for more than two months of the war now stands at 54 billion dollars.

Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova detailed the goals by which to direct $ 40 billion of additional allocation for Ukraine signed by President Joe Biden.
