In Poland, despite the efforts of doctors, a 62-year-old man died, who on April 13 set himself on fire in front of the Consulate General in Krakow.

The condition of the man from the beginning of his stay in the hospital was critical. This was announced today, April 17, by the Polish edition of RMF24.
Witnesses of the incident note that on April 13, at 7:50, people, standing in line at the Consulate General, suddenly began shouting slogans in Ukrainian. According to various eyewitnesses, he spoke about “help”, “corruption”, called on fellow countrymen to return to Ukraine, men to fight for their homeland.
After that, he took out a bottle, from which he poured a flammable substance on himself and set it on fire. In the end, the police on duty at the consulate were able to put out the fire. The man was hospitalized.
The prosecutor’s office in Krakow opened proceedings under an article on exposing a person to an immediate risk of loss of life or grievous bodily harm.
