Severe weather has already hit the Lviv and Rivne regions, and tomorrow a hurricane warning will be announced across the country.
On Saturday, May 21, a powerful storm moved west of Ukraine, causing unrest in Germany the previous day. So, in Lviv, due to bad weather, a yellow risk level was introduced. This was announced by the Lviv City Council in the Telegram.
“Now the whole day will pass what is now on the territory of Poland. Everyone should be careful, if possible, re -park the car away from the trees and do not go to the parks!” – says the message.
According to weather forecasters, there will be thunderstorms in the city of Lviv, gusts of wind, squalls of 17 – 22 m / s in the afternoon, hail.
It should be noted that local residents on social networks are already reporting that a strong wind covers some areas of the Lviv and Rivne regions. So, today a significant bad weather was recorded in the village of Hrushvitsa, where a storm erupted and found farmers working on the farm. The published video shows agricultural machinery, including a sprayer, caught in the center of the “sand storm”.
For also tomorrow, May 22, Ukrgidromettsentr announced the hurricane warning throughout Ukraine.
“On May 22, in Ukraine, wind gusts of 15-20 m/sec. I danger level (yellow)”, the report said.
It will be recalled that a storm hit Kyiv and three regions of Ukraine. High -voltage lines providing 100,000 customers in the Obolonsky, Podolsky and Svyatoshinsky districts were cut off in the capital due to wind.
It was also reported that in Kyiv the wind blew the legendary linden of Peter Mohyla. According to legend, the linden tree was planted by Metropolitan Peter Mohyla in 1635 in honor of the partial restoration of the Church of the Tithes.
