Russia is not trying to block US access to its intelligence agencies – NYT

Washington’s fear that the Kremlin, after the leak from the Pentagon, would try to find US resources in its special services and block them, did not come true.

Russian authorities have taken no steps to prevent the US from gaining further access to Russian security and intelligence services after the leaked documents. This was reported on Saturday, April 15 by The New York Times, citing two senior US officials.

This, they say, is one of the issues that worries the West: they think the Russians will try to find US resources and try to cut them off. However, a week after the data appeared on social networks, “the fears were not justified.”

“There is also no indication that the Russian command has changed its ground operations in Ukraine in response to the revelations,” NYT sources said.

“American intelligence agencies have penetrated the Russian army so much that they are warning Ukraine in real time about the timing of Moscow’s airstrikes and even about their specific targets,” the newspaper wrote.

The publication states that the documents showed “how strongly Ukraine’s military efforts depend on the United States.”

In addition, Ukrainian officials, expressing their dissatisfaction with the leak, told US officials that the disclosure would not have a significant impact on their planned offensive, as Russia already knew the main parameters of weakness of Ukraine, especially the lack of weapons and ammunition.

We remind you that the alleged Pentagon secret materials “leaked” on the Network saying that Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the National Security Council of the Russian Federation, and Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army, planned to sabotage military operations. in Ukraine.
