An explosion in Japan was heard near the place where Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was standing. He was evacuated and was not injured. The incident took place in Wakayama Prefecture, where the prime minister was to give a public speech at a fishing port. Probably the attacker threw a smoke bomb. The man who did this was arrested.

It is reported by Japan’s news agency Kyodo.
The explosion occurred while the prime minister was talking to a candidate from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party at a fishing port. After the incident, Kishida immediately left in a car.
According to Kyodo, several hundred people were in the crowd at the time of the explosion.
Recall that in July last year, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe died after he was attacked. Or shot at a political event.
