Among those who went over to the enemy’s side were people who had previously taken a pro-Ukrainian position.
The legal authorities of Mariupol record every collaborator who goes to work with the enemy. This was announced on Friday, April 14, by the mayor of Mariupol, Vadim Boychenko, in an interview with Radio Liberty.
He noted that during the year of the settlement, “thousands” of collaborators in occupied Mariupol were found and identified.
“It is necessary that they receive punishment after the de-occupation of the city. And we fix each person so, God forbid, he is not left unattended,” Boychenko said.
When asked who the collaborators were, Boychenko replied that there were “both leaders and ordinary people.”
“Their position is different. Before, it was purely pro-Ukrainian, purely patriotic, but now they have changed their minds for some reason,” he said.
It was previously reported that residents of Mariupol are being forced to obtain Russian documents, especially teachers, doctors, police officers and civil servants.
