The Danish Ministry of Defense reported that the training was completed, and they plan to send weapons to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
As a reminder, we expect all 19 French-made CAESAR artillery mounts, which are in service with the Danish army, from our Danish friends.
The military trained at training grounds near the city of Oksbel. Before returning to Ukraine, I visited them. Defense Minister Troels Poulsen.
Denmark actively supported Ukraine throughout the war. As of today, we have provided about 6.2 billion Danish kroner (approximately $915 million) in military assistance, and we strive to maintain the same high level of support for Ukraine,” the minister said.
At the beginning of this year, the Danish government decided to transfer all of its 19 French-made Caesar self-propelled guns to Ukraine. This is a fairly new system, and it has just been introduced into the Danish defense system. Therefore, there were some technical difficulties with the transfer, which were resolved in collaboration with Ukraine. It is planned that the Caesars will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine already have 24 Caesar howitzers, transferred by France.
