Earlier, US Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed the imprisonment of 21-year-old Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira in connection with the leak of secret Pentagon documents.
“The FBI arrested Teixeira this afternoon,” Garland said.
He noted that the arrest was related to the alleged unauthorized storage and transmission of classified national defense information.
