Taras Vysotsky believes that the value of this product in the Ukrainian market will begin to decrease at the end of spring.
Prices for meat products in Ukraine are now rising against the backdrop of the approaching holidays. However, their cost will begin to decrease in late spring. This is what First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky said on the air of the United News telethon on Thursday, April 13.
“The price increase is within 30%. These products have a certain seasonality. The decrease in demand – as soon as the big post begins and the growth in demand is sharper directly near Easter, because people are getting ready for the holiday. Therefore, a certain price reduction is expected,” he explained.
The official added, there was no sharp increase in the price of meat, like eggs.
According to him, a price drop of 5-7% is expected by the end of spring.
In the future, the cost depends on the situation with grain, new crops and feed.
Vysotsky also hoped for a favorable weather factor. He believes that if the situation turns positive, the price of meat products will be stable.
Recall that in Kyiv, Easter services are scheduled in 163 churches. Early churches and cathedrals will be open to all believers for evening and morning prayers on April 15 and 16. Evening services will be held online.
