More than 20,000 law enforcement officers are involved in law enforcement during the Easter holidays. This was announced on April 13 at a meeting of the Acting Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhovsky.
He said services will be held in nearly 13,000 churches.
More than 17,000 policemen of various units, as well as National Guardsmen, rescuers and representatives of voluntary units of territorial communities will serve the holidays.
Vyhovsky added that explosives technicians and dog handlers will also work near places of worship. Their task was to check the temples and the surrounding area for the presence of explosive objects.
“During services during the Easter holidays, churches are expected to be open around the clock for the faithful. At the same time, it is important to remind parishioners about the curfew, which will last from midnight to 5 am, and the rules of conduct during air raid alarms,” asserted the head of the National Police.
Earlier it was reported that residents of Kyiv can take part in the Easter service, provided that they go to the temple before the curfew and stay there until it ends.
