The number of people killed in the collapse of a residential building in Marseille, France has risen to eight. This was announced on the evening of April 12 by BFMTV channel.
It was learned that on Wednesday, rescuers found the bodies of the last two people who were considered missing.
The local prosecutor’s office clarified that all eight dead have been identified – these are three men and five women.
According to law enforcement officials, the investigation is ongoing and the materials collected “confirm the version of a gas explosion that caused the collapse of the building.”
About 300 people who were evacuated in connection with the incident are awaiting permission to return to their homes.
