The Armed Forces of Ukraine reduced the military potential of the Russian Federation, so Moscow was forced to reconsider the strategic goals of the war, believes Alexei Gromov.
Russia may reconsider the strategic goals of the war – on the issue of a gradual takeover of the Ukrainian Left Bank this year. This is what the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexei Gromov said in a briefing on Thursday, April 13.
“The experience and courage of our defenders, their efficient use of weapons from partner countries led to a reduction in the military potential of the Russian Federation. And this will almost certainly force the aggressor to reconsider the strategic goals of the war. Including the phased capture of the entire Left Bank of Ukraine this year,” he said.
The General Staff predicts that during the spring-summer of 2023, the enemy will increase the quantitative and qualitative indicators of formations and military units involved in the war against Ukraine.
Russia will continue to develop strategic reserves and transfer them to the territory of Ukraine, believes Gromov.
As previously reported, aerial reconnaissance aircraft with the help of a kamikaze drone eliminated a Russian observation post located in one of the garbage dumps in the Donetsk region.
