The head of the main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, said that Ukraine would fight until Russian troops were expelled from its territory.
Ukraine will continue fighting until it expels Russian troops from all its territories, including Crimea and other regions occupied by Moscow in 2014. This is what the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said. Kirill Budanov in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
“I don’t know of any borders other than the borders of 1991. Who can force Ukraine to freeze the conflict? It’s a war for all Ukrainians, and if anyone in the world thinks they can dictate to Ukraine the conditions in which it can or can not defend itself, then they are seriously mistaken, “said Budanov.
According to him, in the coming months, the military will focus on pushing Russia out of the territories it occupies in the south of the country, as well as from eastern Donbass.
Kirill Budanov also said that in order to speed up the counter-offensive, Ukraine immediately needs medium and long-range missile systems, large caliber artillery and strike aircraft to counter Russian forces.
“At some point we have already launched an offensive, but a large -scale offensive without these weapons would be very difficult,” the general said.
Recall, earlier it was reported that US intelligence was skeptical that any change in public opinion in Russia could influence the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, and force him to stop the war.
