The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO) condemned Russia’s abuse of religious sentiment to justify an aggressive and unjust war against Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of AUCCRO.
The Council of Churches unanimously declared that the activities in Ukraine of any organizations, including religious ones, whose centers and leadership are located in the Russian Federation, are unacceptable today.
The representatives of the council also emphasized the inevitable punishment for all people involved in helping the enemy and treason, regardless of their confession and church they belong to and if they have dignity.
In addition, they noted that representatives of all religions are equal before the law.
Members of the Council of Churches called on state agencies and law enforcement to do everything possible to prevent destabilization of the socio-political situation in Ukraine.
