This is stated in the appeal of the head of the Federal project for security and combating corruption, Vitaly Borodin.
Borodin noted in his address that, now living in Israel, Pugacheva continues to criticize Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Also, according to him, she supports cultural and art figures who left Russia and actively criticize the war and provide financial assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, a federal project established foreign funding for Alla Pugacheva’s activities and her connection with Western intelligence services, the appeal notes.
In addition, Borodin turned to Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to initiate proceedings against actress Leah Akhedzhakova under several articles of the Criminal Code.
Borodin stated that Akhedzhakova criticizes “decisions and policies adopted by state bodies and the President of Russia to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine” and allegedly finances the USU (Akhedzhakova herself denied this).
The author of the denunciation asked to open a criminal case against Akhedzhakova under articles of high treason, “discrediting” the Russian army and inciting hatred or enmity. He also called for declaring the artist a “foreign agent” and depriving her of state awards and titles.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Akhedzhakova repeatedly called for an end to the war and called for her anti-war stance to remain silent. In early February, the Moscow Sovremennik Theater deprived Leah Akhedzhakova of her last role because of “angry letters” addressed to her, after which the actress quit the theater.
