The island’s democratic government has condemned the Chinese military threat and considers it unacceptable.
Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu has condemned Taiwan’s military exercises, suggesting they are preparations for starting a war against the island. This was reported on April 11 by CNN.
“Look at the military exercises as well as their rhetoric, it seems they are trying to prepare for a war against Taiwan. The Taiwanese government views the Chinese military threat as something unacceptable and we condemn it, Wu said.
He also commented on US intelligence data, according to which Chinese President Xi Jinping has instructed to prepare for a possible war on the island in 2027.
“Chinese leaders will think twice before they decide to use force against Taiwan. And if it is 2025, 2027 or later, Taiwan just needs to prepare,” he said.
It can be recalled that from April 8 to 10, China conducted military exercises around Taiwan, during which it conducted missile strikes on targets on the island and blocked its sea and airspace.
