Andriy Nebitov, head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region, said this during a briefing dedicated to the anniversary of the de-occupation of the Kyiv region and the investigation of the crimes of the occupiers, the Ukrinform agency reports.
Here, an important aspect is that out of 1,374 bodies, 717 were killed with small arms, that is, most people were shot deliberately, Nebitov emphasized. – 340 people died from mine-explosive injuries and in 317 people the cause of death has not been established. They could die during the occupation both by their own death and as a result of the failure to provide medical care.
In addition, during the occupation of the Kyiv region, 38 children were killed, another 43 were injured, Nebitov added.
195 bodies remain unidentified, 279 people are considered missing.
It is noted that as a result of investigative and operational actions in the territory of the Kyiv region, 11 thousand 333 criminal proceedings were registered. Most of them are investigated by employees of the SBU on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code).
The police reported suspicions to 41 people, and 34 cases are already being heard in the courts.
