Iran says Israel is ‘too small to be considered a threat’

Head of the Iranian army Abdolrahim Mousavireaffirmed this Monday that Israel is “too small to be considered a threat”, following the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army, Herzi Haleviargued that Israeli military forces could attack Tehran even without US support.

“The Zionist regime – meaning Israel– which is sinking and whose signs of collapse are becoming more distinct, too small to be considered a threat to Islamic Republic of IranMusavi said.

Thus, he warned the Israeli authorities against “erroneous” and “reckless” actions and stressed that they “will only hasten the process of the fall of the regime IsraelAccording to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.

“Anyone who is even slightly familiar with the military capabilities of both countries knows that the power of the Zionist regime would be comparable in size and modernity to any of the many operations carried out by Iran for eight years of war in the eighties (against Iraq).”

Halevi said last week that the “Army Israel has the ability to hit countries far or near,” adding that while a country “is capable of dealing with any security challenge,” it is always better to have US support.

“We know how to go it alone. We are a sovereign nation that reserves the right to make its own decisions,” he said, stressing that Israel is “ready to act against Iran.”

Finally, Halevi argued that “in the next few years Israel Defense Forces (IDF) significantly strengthen its capabilities for (a preemptive strike against Iran” and warned that “despite the distance, such an attack would be overwhelming”).
