MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner blasted Tennessee Republicans for “flattening the leak” after their “miscalculation” in ousting two state House Democrats on Thursday.
Kirschner, who spoke Friday with political commentator and SiriusXM host Stephanie Miller, took aim at GOP lawmakers following the historic State House vote to oust Justin Jones and Justin Pearson.

The two black lawmakers participated in a protest calling for stricter gun control, while Congresswoman Gloria Johnson, who is white, fell short of the votes needed to expel her from the State House.
“It’s unapologetic racism. It’s American apartheid. That’s what it is, and I’ve lived with it for so long,” Kirschner said.
“When are we going to throw him down and shoot him?”
Kirschner, who responded to Miller’s opinion that Republicans are “very honest about who they are right now,” added that it’s “everybody’s fight” and not just one person of color facing it.
“I was so hopeful when Joe Biden included in his inaugural address that the promise of racial justice would not be delayed. Yet here we are. But boy, what a miscalculation,” Kirschner said.

“This will inspire people. Black, white, young, old, and this is, I think, further evidence of the Republican Party around the leak.”
