The White House leader’s visit is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Belfast Agreement.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will meet with US President Joe Biden in Belfast on April 11. This was reported the previous day by the Daily Mail newspaper, citing the British Prime Minister’s press service.
It is understood that the White House leader’s visit is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Belfast Agreement (Good Friday Agreement), which ended the protracted armed conflict in Northern Ireland.
The press service of the British Prime Minister noted that Sunak will congratulate Biden when he leaves Air Force One. However, Sunak will visit Belfast again on April 19 to address the Belfast Agreement conference at Queens University and host a special gala dinner to mark the anniversary of the document’s signing.
It can be remembered that in March, Biden and Sunak held a bilateral meeting in San Diego, USA. They discussed continued support for Ukraine and other important issues.
