The French economic court has officially declared the Kremlin-backed propaganda channel RT France bankrupt.
The French economic court has officially declared the Russian propaganda channel RT France bankrupt. This was announced on Saturday, April 8, by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.
“The French Economic Court has ended the existence of an important instrument of the Kremlin’s propaganda machine by officially declaring RT France bankrupt,” Tkachenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that this is “an important step to protect the world’s information space from Russian aggression and from lies systematically spread by the Kremlin.”
In March, the EU banned Russian government media such as sputnik and RT, formerly known as Russia Today, from broadcasting following the Russian-led war against Ukraine.
However, the sanctions did not stop the media from releasing content. Last year, the Russian channel continued to create, publish and broadcast materials aimed at French-speaking audiences in African countries such as Mali and Burkina Faso.
It is known that 100 employees of the TV channel will be laid off in the near future.
The Russians are intensifying anti-Ukrainian propaganda in the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region. On Bird Day, at school N47 in the occupied village of Stepanovka, children were taught to hate their own people.
