“At the direction of the President, I authorize the tenth removal of additional weapons and equipment for the defense of Ukraine from the stocks of the US Department of Defense in the amount of up to $ 100 million. This brings the total volume of US military assistance in Ukraine to approximately $ 3.9 billion in the form of weapons and equipment. since Russia launched its brutal and unprovoked full invasion of Ukraine on February 24, “Blinken said.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon announced details of new military assistance to Ukraine. The package includes howitzers, tactical vehicles and other equipment. This was stated in a statement by Pentagon spokesman John F. Kirby, published by the department’s press service.
“The capabilities of this package are designed to meet Ukraine’s critical needs in today’s struggle as Russian forces continue their offensive in eastern Ukraine,” Kirby said.
