At the same time, meeting the electricity needs of Ukrainian consumers will remain a priority.
Ukraine continues to export electricity, which will attract additional finance to restore damaged energy infrastructure. The corresponding document was signed by the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, the Ministry of Energy reported on Friday evening, April 7.
“The most difficult winter has passed. The next step is the opening of electricity exports, which will attract additional financial resources for the necessary restoration of the destroyed and repair of the damaged energy infrastructure,” said the leader of the department.
It is noted that the export of electricity will work while providing light to Ukrainians and can be stopped if the situation has changed, Galushchenko stressed.
The authorized capacity for export of the European network of transmission system operators ENTSO-E is 400 MW. However, the actual export volume may change depending on time and market conditions, Galushchenko added.
It was previously reported that instead of the damaged power units, Ukraine plans to build 20 small modular reactors.
Also, the Ministry of Energy reported that Ukraine plans to become a European hub in the development of green energy
