In the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 60 attacks by the Russian Federation in the directions of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky. The General Staff reported this in the morning report on April 8.
It was noted that over the past day, the Russians launched two missiles and 35 air strikes, carrying out more than 40 attacks from multiple rocket launch systems.
According to the General Staff, in the directions of Volyn, Polessky, Seversk and Slobozhansk, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups have been found. The Russian Federation continues to maintain a military presence in the Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine. On the borders of the Kursk region, the engineering equipment of the area continues.
In the direction of Kupyansk, the settlements of Topoli, Figolovka, Dvurechnaya, Zapadnoye, Krakhmalnoe, Gusinka, Kondrashovka of the Kharkov region and Novoselovskoe-Lugansk came under enemy fire.
At the direction of Liman, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations south of Kremennaya, as well as in the areas of Serebryansky forestry and Verkhnekamensky. Novoselovskoe, Makeevka, Nevskoe, Kuzmino, Dibrova, Belogorovka in the Luhansk region and Torskoe, Zarechnoe, Disputed, Berestovoe in the Donetsk region received artillery shelling.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Russian army continues to conduct offensive operations, trying to completely control the city of Bakhmut, fierce fighting continues. The units of the defense forces repulsed about 20 enemy attacks in the indicated sector of the front. More than 25 settlements located in the area of the conflict, including Vasyukovka, Minkovka, Bakhmut, Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Chasov Yar, Novomarkovo, Stupochki, Shumy, Toretsk and New York of the Donetsk region, suffered from shelling.
In the Avdeevka and Maryinsky directions, the Russians conducted offensive operations in the Novokalinovoye, Severny, Pervomaysky, Maryinka and Pobeda areas of the Donetsk region, but were unsuccessful. The fiercest fighting in the indicated sector of the front continued beyond Marinka, where more than 15 enemy attacks were repulsed. Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Vodyanoye, Pervomayskoye, Karlovka, Georgievka, Maryinka, Pobeda and Paraskoveevka of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
In the direction of Shakhtyorsk, Russian troops did not conduct offensive operations during the day. The settlements of Novomikhailovka, Vuhledar, Prechistovka, Kermenchik, Novomayorskoye, Zolotaya Niva, Miners and Bolshaya Novoselka of the Donetsk region were shelled.
In the directions of Zaporozhye and Kherson, the Russian army continues to build defense lines and positions in terms of fortification. More than 40 communities were stoned. Among them are Malinovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, Orekhov, Novopavlovka, Zaporozhye region; Kachkarovka, Zmievka, Engineering and Zelenovka of the Kherson region, as well as Kherson.
