The world needs calm, says Luis Inacio Lula da Silva. He believed that Ukraine’s withdrawal from the peninsula could stop the war.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva offered to hand over Crimea to Russia “to end the war.” The politician’s words were quoted by the newspaper Le Figaro on April 7.
“(Russian President Vladimir Putin) can’t occupy the territory of Ukraine. Maybe we will discuss Crimea. But he has to think about the fact that he invaded more … (Ukrainian President Vladimir) Zelensky can’t like everything. .. What the world needs is calm … We need to find a solution,” the Brazilian leader said at a press conference.
Recall that Ukraine refuses to negotiate with the Russian Federation until the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from all its territory.
At the same time, the Office of the President said that they are ready to start a dialogue about the future of the occupied Crimea, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine reach its administrative border in the Kherson region.
