The High Council of Justice (VRP) refused to remove judge Tatyana Ilyeva, who was informed of suspicion of abuse of power.

Only 3 out of 17 members of the VRP voted “for”, Mikhail Zhernyakov, head of the DEJURE foundation, said on his Facebook page.

The judge of the Pechersky District Court, Ilyeva, removed the arrest from 110.7 thousand euros and 9.3 thousand dollars. former vice-president of the state company “Bread of Ukraine” Andriy Mikhaniv. Like, the money belongs to another person, although there is no evidence of this.

Then the SAP reported that as part of the pre-trial investigation, it was established that in November 2020 the judge decided to release the arrest from these funds, substantiating her decision as belonging to these funds to another citizen, and not to the accused in the case.

Moreover, Ilyeva did not have the right to decide this issue at all, since since December 2019 the case against Mikhaniv was being heard on the merits and the request to remove the arrest should be considered by a panel of judges, and not by an investigating judge.

Earlier, Ilyeva ordered Prosecutor General Venediktov to take away the case of a record bribe of $5 million from NABU. Fortunately, her plan failed.

Also, two years ago, the Pechersk Court took the side of the lawyer of the official of the cadence of the fugitive President Yanukovych, Andrei Portnov, who made public the personal data of the Schema journalistic team. It was Ilyeva who made the decision to do so.
