Metropolitan Anthony, who the day before gave the keys to the cathedral in Khmelnytsky to the local community that decided to move to OCU, himself expressed his readiness to move.
The Metropolitan of Khmelnitsky and Starokonstantinovsky UOC-MP Anthony (Fialko), who commented on the incident of the beating of a military man in the church, expressed his readiness to move to the OCU. The hierarch said this on Monday, April 3, in a commentary on TSN.
Anthony declared that he was ready to transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, but lost all his priests.
“I’m ready, I’ll go myself, I’ll get my things, but they (MP priests – ed.) are silent, they ran away, I’m looking for them, let’s decide with you. I was left. alone, a hostage,” added the metropolitan.
Meanwhile, the UOC-MP Synod removed him from his post. This decision was reported in the press service of the UOC-MP.
Recall that on Sunday UOC-MP priests beat a military man in Khmelnitsky. On the same day, the church community decided to move to OCU, and Metropolitan Anthony gave the keys to the Holy Intercession Cathedral here.
