Head of the Mercenary Group Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin announced tonight the capture of the Central District and the administration bahmutin the east of Ukrainewhere the Russian flag would be raised, he said.
“April 2, 23:00. We legally took Bakhmut. The commanders of the units that took the administration and the central quarter will now raise these flags (of the Russian and paramilitary groups),” Prigogine said in a video broadcast of your press service.
He added that the Russian flag carries a message in memory of Vladlen Tatarsky, a Russian blogger and war correspondent who died Sunday in a bomb blast in St. Petersburg that also injured about 30 people.
However, according to Prigozhin, the enemy still remains in the western part of the city, which for several months became the epicenter of hostilities between Russian and Ukrainian troops.
