Ukrainian military was beaten in Khmelnytsky by representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The priests and supporters of the MP attacked the military Artur Ananiev, who, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, went to the front as a volunteer. He fought in the 19th Infantry Battalion. In battles with the enemy, he received a concussion and a craniocerebral injury. This was announced on April 2 by the deputy of the Khmelnitsky Regional Council Viktor Burlyk on Facebook.
According to him, the military visited the temple of the UOC-MP to ask the question: “How many people still have to die so that you stop going to the Moscow Patriarchate?” After that, priests and supporters of the pro-Russian church attacked him and began to beat him. And other parishioners just watched.
Burlik added that subsequently law enforcement officers arrived at the temple and detained Ananiev under Art. 173 (petty hooliganism).
Recall that the court was sent by Metropolitan of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate Pavel under round-the-clock house arrest for a period of two months. The clergyman was ordered to wear an electronic bracelet and forbid him to make a video message and conduct social networks. Law enforcement officers suspect Lebed of inciting inter-religious hatred and distributing materials justifying Russian aggression.
