In Bukovina, a UOC-MP clergy helped draft dodgers to travel abroad

The cleric offered his help to those responsible for military service in illegal transportation abroad outside the checkpoints.

The security service blocked another channel of illegal travel of citizens of military age abroad in the Chernivtsi region. The assistant rector of the Holy Ascension Monastery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC-MP was involved in organizing illegal activities, the press center of the SBU reports.

The cleric offered his help to those responsible for military service in illegal transportation abroad outside the checkpoints.

In September, he was documented promising three local residents to arrange for “unimpeded” travel to Romania. At the same time, the defendant’s co-conspirators were allegedly required to provide clients with documents for free movement within the EU.

The territory of the monastery was defined as the “collection point” of the deviationists. It is said that they will be taken to another country.

But instead of the “promised” documents, the clients were taken to the border area and presented with a green card, with which they could apparently go to a neighboring country.

SBU officers documented the criminal actions of the scheme’s organizer and blocked the channel of illegal migration.

The cleric was informed about the suspicion of illegal migration of people across the state border of Ukraine. The case of his accomplice is being considered in court.

It will be recalled that earlier the border guards detained a priest with an invalid passport, he has close ties to Russia.
