CSTO member countries, organizations from Russia’s sphere of influence, will conduct training on the territory of Belarus for the first time. This was reported on the website of the organization.
In 2023, the CSTO complex of military exercises will be held in the form of a joint operational-strategic training “Combat Brotherhood”, which is the highest form of joint training in the format of an organization. In different regions of the CSTO area of responsibility, all elements of the collective security system will be involved, – said Slav Shchegrikovich, speaker of the CSTO Joint Headquarters.
Joint and special exercises are planned on the territory of Belarus, combining the training of various components of the CSTO troops. For the first time, special training will be held on the joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological protection and medical support “Barrier-2023”.
In total, the CSTO will conduct five exercises on the territory of Belarus: joint training with the CSTO rapid response forces “Interaction-2023”; training with the intelligence forces “Poisk-2023”; training with the logistics forces of the troops “Echelon-2023”; training with the joint formation of the RCHBO and medical support “Barrier-2023”; training with units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations “Rock-2023”.
Recall that the CSTO includes six states: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
