Three Russian servicemen who raped a woman in the Kyiv region during the occupation have been reported on suspicion. As the Office of the Prosecutor General points out, Russian soldiers from the 37th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Don Budapest Red Banner Order of the Red Star Brigade (37th Motorized Rifle Brigade, military unit 69647) are suspected of violating the laws and customs of war (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ).
We are talking about the natives of the Republic of Buryatia, the Chita region and the Irkutsk region of Russia.
According to the investigation, in March last year, the suspects, along with other military servicemen of the Russian army, occupied one of the settlements in the Kiev region. They frightened the civilian population, searched for men and participants in the forces of the anti-terrorist operation, constantly inspected all the premises of civilian houses.
Russian soldiers began to systematically invade the courtyard of a private house where two women and a young girl lived. The suspects, constantly demonstrating the presence of weapons, taking into account the absence of men in the house, took turns taking one of the women to the garage, where they raped. Others at this time remained on the street in order to overcome possible resistance from her relatives and neighbors, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
One of them committed sexual violence once during the occupation, the second committed such acts twice, and the third – every day for a week.
