Channel “1 + 1” was preparing a release about the rape of a minor in Transcarpathia – the girl and her family were invited to the studio.
Lawyer Masi Nayem said on his Facebook page that a talk show about the story of a girl from the village of Verkhniye Vorota in Transcarpathia was to be aired on the 1+1 TV channel. They tried to trick the victim, her father and grandmother into a live broadcast. Lawyers managed to prevent this.
According to Nyem, the studio also planned to invite experts who would watch videos of the events of that day and interpret what they saw at their own discretion.
The 1+1 channel explained to Detector Media that the talk show team was preparing this episode “following all journalistic standards, moral and ethical standards.” The channel also stated that the participation of a minor in the program was not planned. Some guests refused to record the show, so the shooting did not take place.
However, Masi Nayem insists that the TV channel brought six people from Transcarpathia, among them the victim herself. The lawyer was in touch with the “chief editor of 1 + 1”, who wanted the girl to participate in the recording of the program. Nyem has made audio recordings of these conversations and is ready to make them public.
Recall that two years ago in Transcarpathia, the guys raped their 14-year-old classmate in the basement. The crime was documented, and then the video was leaked to the Internet.
First, the court found the teenagers guilty and sentenced them to 5 years in prison. But later he released them from serving their sentences, appointing a probationary period of 2 years. Also, the prosecutors changed the article under which the guys were accused – from 152 (rape) to 153 (sexual violence, without penetration).
It is known that the victim did not have a lawyer in court. She was represented by an employee of the child protection service of the village council, where the mother of one of the rapists works. Ombudsman Lubinets also said that he was keeping the case under control.
