Power outages and damage in the networks of distribution system operators are observed today due to storm wind and snow with rain in 12 regions of Ukraine: Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, Kiev, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kirovohrad, Dnepropetrovsk and Sumy.

Oblenergo repair teams are working to repair the damage and restore power supply.

At the same time, consumption increased in Ukraine due to cooling. However, electricity generation is sufficient to cover the needs of Ukrainians.

Due to damage to key high-voltage substations caused by the aggressor over the past six months, the reliability of power supply to consumers in most regions of Ukraine has been significantly reduced. In the Zhytomyr region, due to the growth in consumption and significant damage to networks due to repeated attacks by Russians, the volume of consumption restrictions is increasing, – noted in Ukrenergo.

The difficult situation with electricity supply remains in the regions along the front line, where settlements are constantly shelled by the Russians and the electricity supply networks are damaged.
