The Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed back war criminals from the private military company Wagner from one of the supply lines of Bakhmut to the Donetsk region.
This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense on March 29.
There is fighting in Bakhmut, although the shelling of Russia has decreased compared to recent weeks.
One of the key achievements of the latest Ukrainian operations was probably the pushing of the Russian fighters of the Wagner group from the 0506 road, the review says.
The second rural road connecting the settlements of Chasov Yar and Khromovo became a critical supply line for the Ukrainian defenders. Previously, the “Wagnerites” were a few hundred meters from her.
Recall, on March 26, Russian media reported that the Wagnerites had seized the Azom factory complex north of the center of Bakhmut, but this territory is probably still being fought over, as in the past two weeks.
Since Wagner has confirmed that it has released at least 5,000 fighters recruited from prisoners (who have completed their time – ed.), the lack of personnel is likely to hinder Russian offensive efforts in this sector, the review says.
