The energy system of Ukraine in the next six months is able to provide electricity to the needs of consumers.
In the next six months, there will be enough electricity in the domestic energy system for this. This energy system is part of the European one, so Ukraine will be able to import electricity if its own is not enough. This is a very important factor in the country’s energy security. On March 28, the head of NPC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky said this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, this will allow to have a good balance in spring and summer. However, it is worth preparing well for next winter – resuming the operation of power units at damaged thermal and hydroelectric power plants. It is also necessary to mobilize all the resources of the energy system as much as possible in order to get through the winter without blackouts.
Recall that on March 27, Ukrenergo stated that all types of power plants operate in Ukraine, electricity production is sufficient to cover consumption. There is also a small import of electricity.
However, the situation with electricity supply in the regions along the front line remains difficult, where the Russian military damage the networks with constant shelling.
