The Ukrainian border guard tried to convey to the Russian FSB information about the protection of the northern borders of Ukraine.
The traitor was discovered during a special operation in the Chernihiv region. The enemy agent turned out to be an inspector of the Chernigov border detachment, who, even before the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, was recruited by a career employee of the enemy intelligence service. The sleeper agent began work after February 24th. This was announced on March 28 by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The enemy agent collected combat orders and a plan of measures for the engineering and technical arrangement of the state border in the north. It was this secret information that the FSB agent was supposed to find, photograph, and then transfer to his “curator” from the FSB through the Telegram messenger. The enemy wanted to use this information for sabotage.
The traitor was detained while trying to transfer information with limited access to the aggressor. He has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court arrested the detainee.
Recall, on March 27, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the neutralization of an extensive intelligence network of the FSB in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, which was preparing missile attacks on Ukrzaliznytsia facilities and recruited personnel in the administration of the invaders.
